Metropolitan Super Mixed Cup Rules: Close

1: Team & Scoring Each Super Mixed team will consist of two Men and two Ladies, four rubbers in total played per round.
First half of each round will be 1 x Mens Doubles 1 x Ladies Doubles with the second half 2 x Mixed Doubles.
The scoring; 2 sets per rubber with normal tie break at 6-6 (no 3rd set).
PLEASE NOTE: Only the Cup organizer (Rory Lynas) can enter the results online. So ensure he gets all the info needed to fill in the online match card.
Both teams are to keep a copy of the full match details in case of any dispute. Please print off your own (see Print Match Card in left column).

2: Winners The winning team will be decided by, most sets won, if equal then most games won,
if still equal then the away team will progress (If the Final, the Cup will be shared).
The Final will be played at a neutral venue. Winning Team to inform Cup Organizer of the full names that played (of both teams) and their scores within 48 hours of conclusion.

3: Home Team Home named team to supply match balls, refreshments and
organize the fixture date (with the tie to be completed prior to the rounds Play by date). Once a date is set inform the Cup Organizer so MyDivision can be updated. Home team to start arranging as soon as their opposition is known, so keep an eye on results coming in every few days.

4: Postponements due to weather Postponements due to weather to be rearranged and played asap, preferably so it is still completed prior to the play by date. Arrange a new date within 48 hours of calling the fixture off. Cup Organiser to be notified of postponement and the new date by the Home Team.

5: Player eligibility Once a player has played for a team he/she can not play for any other team in the competition, including any second club team entered.

6: The Final & finalists eligibility The Final will take place at a neutral venue, on a date/time set by the Cup Organizer.
Finalist players: Only players that have played at least once for the team (in the League or Cup) in the current season are eligible to play in the Final. Exception to this rule are new teams that have played fewer than three fixtures to get to the final. A player that has played for another team (League or Cup) in the current season are not eligible.

7: Final say The Cup Organizer (Paul Bayliss) has the final say on all matters, including removing team/s from the competition should they be delaying a rounds conclusion, without good cause.
